We are happy to announce that we have just submitted a new version of SwirlyMMS to the Ste source repository! Expect to see it soon on the Installer. The major feature in this release is the capability to receive MMSs, which we know many of you have been quite eager for...
So, now you can both send and receive MMSs with your iPhone! Isn't that cool? Besides the new receive feature, a couple of bugs have been fixed and a few under-the-hood enhancements have been made.
Admittedly, this release is still pretty rough. Ok, it is very rough ;-) However, we will make major improvements in the user interface till the next v0.4 release, or dare we call it v1.0…

Compared with v0.2.1 it only contains one bugfix, but a crucial one as reported by Stein Åge (thx Stein!).
This release has been submitted to
Ste and will hopefully show up really soon on the Installer this time.
Stay tuned for the forthcoming v0.3 release, which will let you receive MMS messages on your iPhone!

The release notes for SwirlyMMS v0.2.1 are:
- improved error messages
- more robust handling of user input
- more robust communication handling
- an icon added to the statusbar which indicates the status of the MMS-APN
- a couple of bug fixes and a few tweaks

So, in this v0.2 release we have added support for a MMS-specific APN, which allows many more of you to send MMSs! Also, a few bugs have been corrected (and maybe a few added ;-)), handling of the responses from the network has been improved, we have added image resize options and enabled erasure of the sent history.
This second release is still pretty rough and can only send MMSs. But
we continue to develop it further, making the GUI a bit more polished and we will add
the capability to receive MMSs. In fact, we have already done enough experimentation to say that we hopefully can release a v0.3 with receiving capabilities within 3-4 weeks. For whatever our time estimations are worth...
The release has been made available to a trusted community source repository and as soon it has been put up there you will find it in your iPhone's Installer application.

Furthermore you are now able to select an image size and to clear your sent MMSs history. Of course, a few bugs have been fixed too :-)
Expect to see this release within a week, 10 days or so...
Obviously, we were not able to include the receiving MMS feature, which we know you are all waiting for, with this release. But we have experimented a bit... and hopefully a v0.3 release with receiving capabilities is due out in a not too distant future :-)
The GUI will be improved, but we focus on the core features right now...
