Additional MMS-app info...

iPhonePosted by Tommy Svensson 2007-12-06 01:01:29
People have asked for additional info before installing. So here we go :-)

The major feature is that you can send an mms with your iPhone. Hopefully the recipent has a phone that is capable to receive this mms ;-)

Basically, after having configured the mmsc and proxy server settings, you select to create a new mms. You then write a title for the mms, select an image from the camera roll and select a recipent from your address book. Finally, you hit the send button to send the mms. If the delivery was successful an entry will be added to the sent-mms history-list.

And yes, the photos from your camera roll gets resized.
We have tested the application on 1.0.2 and 1.1.1

Great App!!! I have an unlocked 1.1.4 8gb and it works great! (I'm on T-Mobile USA with T-Zones hacked with proxy.

The only thing I can't seem to fix is the size of the pics (mms) that I send & receive. I've played around with the Settings and I have image size as HIGH, but the pics that send+receive are TINY! Even when I use gmail to send out an email to another T-mobile phone which has mms ([email protected]) and CC myself, it still comes in really small even though the original size was much bigger.

Any way around this? :)

Hello there, I was wondering if there will be support for the 1.1.3?

And when is 0.3 coming out? It looked like it was going to be released in january, but I cant find anything, and it looks like 0.2.2 is the newest version on installer.

And btw, thanks for an awesome application, cant wait until I can use it on 1.1.3! Cheers.

hey i don't know how to make apps for the iphone but i have an idea for the creators of this mms app. How about ya'll make a version of it so that you can send a mms of a pic from iphoto? i think that would be really cool.

It is great application!!! I have used it successfully in China Mobile Network.

Two cents:

1.> after sent out a mms, about six minitues, the app exited and writed a record.

It was too long, in fact, the receiver received the mms quickly.

2.> could set dimension of mms manually, the 80X120 is too small.

Still waiting for receiving mms function !!!

Thanks for your feedback BlaCkBirD!

We will definitely address this configuration-issue with the release of v0.2! It is top priority!

Also, thanks for confirming it runs on 1.1.2, which we weren't able to test on before this release!

First of all, congratz for your work!! It works for me, but i've a 'request'... i dunno in your country but here in italy, each operator have differ settings for EDGE and MMS, so basically i've to manually switch from the APN i use for navigation, and APN used for sending MMS.. do u think could be possible to specify also the APN to use?
I know in 1.1.1/1.1.2 it's hardcoded in the plist file of your operator but.. who knows :)

P.S. works great on 1.1.2

Sorry, but is not woirking the moemnt you operator need some sort of passwort and username!

Posted by Tommy Svensson 2007-12-06 09:47:26

I think Telia's username and password are to be used in iPhone's GPRS/EDGE setting panel (together with the APN).

sorry, got it to start! But why can't i type in any password or username for my mms settings? Telia is using telia/mms
