All SMS and MMS Received By SwirlyMMSv2

Postby SidewalkSurfer on 12 Sep 2010, 05:12

Hey, I scanned the FAQ's and tried searching, but was unable to come up with a solution for a problem I've been experiencing with SwirlyMMsv2. I have the original iPhone, and am on T-Mobile using the standard T-Mobile settings. I've tried disabling and enabling messaging over SwirlyNet to fix the problem, and it hasn't worked so far.

So here's the issue: All messages, whether they are SMS, or MMS, come through Swirly. Now I don't mind the MMS coming in through there (that's why I bought it!) but the regular text messages as well. I do prefer the look and feel of the built in Messaging program for the iPhone, so I would like to continue using it for standard SMS sending and receiving. I also like that if messages come through the standard Messaging app, my iPhone lights up and notifies me (which Swirly does not).

I've also browsed the settings and have not found anything that might hint at disabling Swirly for standard messages, but was unable to find it. Also, I'm running the most recent version of Swirly. Thanks kindly to anyone who can assist.

Oh, and I've also respringed/restarted my phone, to no avail. Also, the messages DO load in the standard Messaging App, meaning if I go to my messages, they are there, but again, no standard text message sound (I have a different one set for MMS) or home-screen notification, screen light up, etc.

edit: Nevermind, I found the sms toggle option. Sorry!

Ah I see what you mean. Hmm currently SMS is not used at all if the switch is off which maybe wasnt such a good choice. We will change that in coming releases of SwirlyMMS. Meaning that you can always send an SMS mut you can switch on/off that SwirlyMMS receives SMS.
