Swirly vs. AT&T ***MYSTERY SOLVED***

Well apparently no one has taken the time to read the packages you send in with your information....that black jack info is so wrong for the iPhone, but it did help me figure out the main problem....


First research stuff before spreading bogus fixes and rumors....if anyone had read those files you would know why you can't get it to work. That file says the phone is what it isn't and does what it can't....so that's like throwing a baseball to a guy with no f*ckin arms. He wants to catch it...but just doesn't have the right equipment.

IT IS BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE FAMILY MMS PLAN YOU NEED YOUR WAP PUSH ENABLED AND YORU VLR RESET.....HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO BE TOLD??!!?!?!? THAT IS IT....EITHER MMS PLAN OR WAP PUSH ENABLED AND STOP CHANGING THE SETTINGS THEY ALL WORK WHEN THE IPHONE IS CONFIGURED CORRECTLY.

FOR EXAMPLE HOW MANY OF YOU EVEN KNOW TEHRE ARE TWO DATA PLANS FOR THE IPHONE....ONE HAS A LOT MORE WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY....HENCE WHY SOME OF YOUR PHONES WORKED. There was an error at AT&T when teh 3G came out and some of ou were given the enterprise data plan for iphone when you signed up for basic unlimited.

So.....let's not hear anymore about your damn settings,....it's not the holy grail

I have the unlimited family messaging plan with unlimited testing picture video and voice messaging and I still can't get swirlymms to work so how do u explain that. I'm not trying to be rude honestly I'm just trying to get this to work do u have any suggestions?

understand this in the end.....if you have mms enabled wap push enabled and it still doesn't work....

either something is wrong in your registry....and it's obviously beyond your knowledge so let it go it won't work

or

this just doesn't work in some places....again get over it and move on it's MMS messaging....you have an email address....start a FTP server, I don't care but stop geting so hung up on MMSing.

understand this, you cant have WAP Push enabled if you have an iphone the techs literally cant enable WAP Push for an iphone an error pops up in Snooper and reverts WAP Push to Off i dont know how some people are saying they are enabling it when 5/5 times ive talked with ATT they said they literally cant even when they try.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T LISTEN......

if you have everything set up and have called at&t, and you meet the following criteria:

full demo or purchased copy of swirly
have your settings in and have a green M
have called at&t and had mms put onto your plan
have the iphone data plan (by the way this is a media.net data plan at&t just calls it "iphone" plan)
you have your WAP push turned on (yes this is required for iphone customers on the at&t network)
YOU ARE RECEIVING YOUR MESSAGES

BUT CANNOT SEND THEM.......

HAVE YOUR VLR RESET....HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TYPE THAT??!?!!!!!

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR VLR RESET NOTHING YOU DID IS WORKING YET AND NEVER WILL UNTIL THEY RESET YOUR VLR. THIS IS THE F*CKING REGISTRY TO ALL OF YOUR DATA TRANSFER, SETTINGS, RESTRICTIONS BLAH BLAH.....AGAIN RESET YOUR VLR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF SWIRLY STILL DOESN'T WORK....GET PAST IT, CUZ IT NEVER WILL...MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIVES.

WAIT 30 SECONDS
POWER PHONE BACK UP
ALL CHANGES WILL NOW TAKE EFFECT


OH YEAH AND BY THE WAY, TURN OFF YOUR WIFI AND MAKE SURE YOU ACTUALLY HAVE EDGE TURNED ON....BECAUSE THE e IS THERE MEANS SQUAT, IT'S ALWAYS ON IF WIFI OR 3G ISN'T....TO VERIFY THIS GO TO SAFARI AND MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT TELL YOU IT CAN'T LOAD THE PAGE BECAUSE THERE IS NO INTERNET

I did all that when I devoted a day to getting Swirly to work. I ended up having to add MEdia Net pay-as-you-go as well to get it to work. Just an FYI.

boostedbenz, what is OTA and VLR?

Also, when I call to add MMS, do I just tell them I'm using another phone for MMS and that is why I need it enabled? I've heard of some people calling AT&T and they won't enable MMS because the iPhone is the only phone on their plan.

I just want to get all the information before hand so that if I'm questioned from AT&T I know the exact answer and AT&T won't question me doing this.

I called to have wap push enabled and vlr's reset and ota and they told me they can not do that. They said doing so would void my warranty and so keeping with good ethics they could not do that. They offered to a) do nothing b) make my other phone the phone in olam add medianet data but then I wouldn't be on iphone plan. I asked her about that, having an iphone and all, and well it just wasn't the way to go.

oh and I do have the regular txt message plan, not the iphone one

anyone else get this?
