The current release (1.1) of SwirlyMessage, SwirlySMS and SwirlySMS free for iPad 3G does not work on iOS4.2.1 .

A new release is on its way though!

I downloaded and it is working but there is a simple problem. The problem is I can sent SMS any telephone including iphones and ect, but I can not receive SMS from Iphones (^3GS and 4).

The new installation was a coplete clean installation.

Please comment how to solve this problem.

PS: I thought this problem my occour from SIM card. I change the simcart and also spoke with Vodafone and there is no problem with SIM. The sim can receive SMS from Iphones when I instal the sim to a new phone.

Hmm, can you try to reboot the iPad and then try sending an SMS to your self!

Btw, what product is it you are using? SwirlySMS, SwirlySMSfree or SwirlyMessage?

I already reboot the iPad.

But is is sending and receiving SMS to myself .

I can also sent SMS to anyone but I can not receive SMS from Iphones.

I made a small mistake. I purchaed SwirlySMS and SwirlyMessage both?. In fact only SwirlyMessage is enough.

At the moment only SwirlyMessage is on the Ipad.

I do not know this OS but as an idea in windows system there are reg files. Foristance if you install HP products and if it does not work, HP advices to delete all reg files and advice to install again.

I presume the same is may be valid for Apple OS. I pruchased the SwirlyMessage when my Ipad was OS 3.2. This problem was occurde 10 days ago in OS 3.2. Than I upgrade the Ipad to 4.2( for clean installation ) and JB the ipad after. I presume this would delete all related files in previous installation.

Than when I install SwirlyMessage on 4.2 I presume it would work but unfurtunatelly this problem is avaiable again.

Please comment.

Reboot the iPad.
The problem still stays.

ok can you start SwirlyMessage, press (i) and enable extended logging.
Then send an sms to yourself. wait 2 minutes. then press (i) again and email the logfiles to me:
[email protected]
