SwirlyMMS for iPad refuses to activate

Postby NakedFaerie on 19 Aug 2010, 08:10

I paid for it in cydia, downloaded it and it crashes at the end of the install.
I then removed it, moved the file from the cydia cache to the autoinstall dir and reboot the ipad.
it finally installed fine I believe.

Now it works, the settings save but it still refuses to activate.
This is the same problem I had with SwirlyMMS 2.0 as you can see by my other thread.

IF there was a demo/trial license it would help out a lot of us that cant get it working then we all wouldn't have to get refunded as the program is still buggy and doesn't work for us.

Yes, version 1.0.1
There is no screenshot available as it just doesn't activate.
Next to "Activation" is a red X
I click the check and it asks for my phone number
It already says +61 so I input the rest.
I click the button up top Activate
It now says it will take a few seconds and if it does nothing for 15 mins then click deactivate and try again.

I've been doing that for the last 5 hours and still nothing.

When I installed SwirlyMMS2.0 it did the same. It just refuses to activate. Thats why I got a refund and thats why I'm asking for another refund as if it cant be activated then its useless.

Also I can receive pictures but it wont download them as it says "APN MMS server is not allowing it as it is not activated ..... even after activation is allowed.
I am using the Swirly server for downloads and have even tried just using it over WiFi.......

Sending and receiving normal SMSes and MMSes is not connected at all with the activation of SwirlyNet, which is an extra feature to be able to send messages between other SwirlyNet users for free. To send/receive a normal SMS and MMS to any other "normal" cell phone no SwirlyNet activation is needed.

Ok Mats
I deleted the 1.0.3 version and all the other files attributed to it through sshing into the ipad.
I reinstalled 1.0.3 through Cydia and it was already activated when I started the program, I still cant send txt messages, or reply to messages, but I can receive them, still not able to receive pictures or any other type of media through Swrly, even after trying all the UserAgent settings and swirlynet on and off, and wifi set on and off .......... so it appears I have tried everything

Any other ideas ? if not I will ask for my licence to be terminated and my payment returned please ...
