sending MMS using swirly is not free!!!!

Postby manimanus on 05 Nov 2009, 02:28

hi when i send MMS with swirly it is considered as a normal MMS (i pay the fee from carrier)
i have unlited sms , and internet.
with the old swirly i was counted as 3 sms now i pay 0.30€ per MMS.
swirly is supposed not to be charged from regular carrier MMS.
What's the deal???
I bought this app , not having to pay for them.
regards

It is free if you can send your MMS via our SwirlyNet AND if you can do that over wifi or over a flat-rate data plan (flatrate meaning that you don't pay per megabyte but rather a fixed rate per month or so)

Ok. Have you attached to the SwirlyNet properly?
Also, the person(s) you are sending to must be attached to the SwirlyNet.

Please also read the FAQ within Swirlymms from the Info view.

the thing is that with the old version no need for swirlynet (why use swirlynet i could send a mail instead or even skype)
old swirly = i could send MMs to anyone for free.
now what is the interset for me to use swirly..???

The unfortunate thing is that as more people buy newer iphones, there are fewer people using swirly .. (I still prefer it over the built in MMS) .. so not a lot of people use Swirlynet ..

Perhaps an option can be added in swirly to warn if the MMS will not be sent via swirlynet?

I don't know how much focus swirly gets these days with multiple iphone projects going now .. but there's still a lot of things that can be done :) ... like proper MMS rendering ( suggested a year or two ago ) lol
