cannot set up

please help

i purchased the full version of swirly mms.. i started with the trial
when it starts up it goes to the inbox screen fine and shows that i have messages waiting
the m symbol turns green
but it will not connect, it says:
connecting to proxy: wireless.cingular.com..
then it says
fetch error: failed to connect to proxy: connect timeout...

i cant change the settings because when i press the i or the settings button, nothing happnes

any ideas??

i'm sure i just need to reset the settings but i don't know how to get into them... i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting phone several times with no help there

is there a way to completely uninstall it through ssh so i can start completely fresh??
