Confirmed - MMS coming officially to the iphone in 3.0

So I was elated, and yet sad to hear that the iPhone 3.0 software update will include MMS capabilities.. (as well as copy and paste) ..

This is a huge deal for the iPhone community, and primarily AT&T users who've not been able to benefit..

but ...

This will ultimately have a big impact on the swirly guys obviously..

Though I just noticed that MMS is not available for 1st gen people, so perhaps there still is a market for swirlymms .. unless the iphone dev team can make it available..

MMS, copy/paste, landscape keyboard. It's about time Apple stepped up. I bet they aren't doing it to please us, they are doing it because of the "store" competition (Cydia, etc.)

it is a sad day for swirly...it means that swirly will be relegated to the shrinking realm of first gen users, that is of course, unless the iphone dev team can turn it on for first gen devices, as previously stated. it is a possibility... emoji has been accessed, maps streetview has been accessed for itouch, hell even the 3g on/off switch has been accessed for the first gen iphone. and i think it has to do with more than just sauriks competition....i think apples trying to get rid of the need for jailbreaking. most jailbreakers wont see a need to rejailbreak after this...except maybe sbsettings and themes. hell apples even adding video streaming...thats qik. apple has been talking to them for months now. maybe even youtube.
