AT&T: SWIRLYMMS WORKS ON IPHONE ---FINALLY---

I just updated my Iphone 3G to 2.2 an then used quickpwn to jailbreak it. I have reinstalled SwirlyMMS and I am still able to send and receive MMS. The only problem I have noticed is, I can only send to ATT and Tmobile people. I cant send or receive from Verizon Wireless.

First off, I have the 1g iphone jailbroken not unlocked on att in the usa.

I have been working on getting mms working on my iphone for quite sometime now. And there is one way, only ONE way to get it to work. You can change your swirly settings till you wear a hole through your screen, it does nothing. You can argue with att and apple reps for days and have every setting changed. If you manage to get it to work, it'll work for a while then when the system refreshes it turns all the settings back to normal iphone account settings, it's just time wasted. Apple has att frantically working to close all the little loop holes and back doors so you can't use mms on iphone. (I actually believe if they spent 1/16 the effort thwarting us that want mms, they could have made a mms program.... I'm beginning to believe they are just full of petty pride and are jealous that swirly beat them to the punch) The only permanent way to have and keep mms using att in the usa is to get rid of your iphone account. Yes, eliminate your iphone account and have a basic unlimited message and data plan on a normal phone account, just tell them you are going to your old phone, provided it had mms and internet then pop your sim into your iphone and enjoy. There is one drawback, you will lose visual voice mail. A fare trade in my opinion. I'm sure apple will piss and moan about it and try to find some way to stop it, but it works.

Unless someone has a better idea, and they are going to have to prove it to me, this is the only permanent fix to have fully functional mms on your iphone.

I 'seem' to have some settings that work for AT&T. I don't have anyone around me to really perform a lot of tests, but I did receive one from my mother (who has a verizon prepaid phone)

I had my iphone activated about 6 weeks ago at a AT&T store, I've never logged on to the AT&T website, and I've never spoken with any reps.

The above settings do not work (unexpected response... Forbidden) tested on 3 iPhones 1 3g and 2 1g phones in the USA on AT&T.

Has anyone else had a problem getting there MMS to work with an 3g iphone 2.2 update, i get a green M in the menu bar and i already called ATT and enabled push, but im getting a error message saying

possible incorrect mmsc setting.

heres where im currently at. i called att and got them to switch to my blackberry in their system
as of right now it seems to me that the reason i am still unable to send mms is the fact that im IMEI still reads as an iphone in att's server. If i jailbreak and put my blackberry's imei in the phone it might work. with thtat said my other theory is this, there is already settings for the blackjack2 and for a few motorolas in the swirly app. is it possible that i have to activate an att phone with one of those such phones so when the app sends information to the server that it would recognize it correctly? just a couple of thoughts. i will be posting this on a few forums just to be sure

Some techs are freakin wankers and know too much and what they are supposed to and not supposed to do. Find the right one and you'll have the iPhone data plan with a standard messaging plan. Mine still works. BTW what's up Garret?

lol hey cuzzo, so im on day 3 and still not working. maybe cali's att servers aren't as observant as florida. or maybe i just need to get a bullshit phone up and running for it to work. do me a favor, all these people that say they changed their accounts to say a razor or a bs lg phone, can u go online to att and see what phone it pops up with as your service? because mine keeps saying iphone although i repeatedly called and had my imei registered with them under a blackberry
