I have the family messaging plan, and the iphone data plan... I have tried being connected to a WiFi connection, and also just having a 3G connection.

This still isn't working for me, anyone have any ideas? I would be greatful to anyone with ANY help.

Thanks :-)

*EDIT - The error I get when trying to fetch them after they show on my phone is "Fetch Error: unexpected http response..."*

Do you get a number next to the inbox if someone sends you an MMS message and is the M in the upper right of the phone display?

These are my settings that work:

http://mmsc.cingular.com
066.209.011.032
and samsung bj2 (max size image)..

Sounds like you're in my boat.. they've assured me every time that WAP Push and MMS are turned on on my account (for a spare phone for when i do electrical work and i just pop the sim into) (which i don't really have).. and tried every possible setting.. and i get that too

The fetch error is the 403 permission denied.. and I do get the green M no matter what my settings are.. I think all that green M means is they 'look valid'.. heh

Call in again, and have them connect you to a tech rep, or make sure your regular rep knows what he/she is doing. Tell whoever you're talking to that you need OTA pushed to your iphone while it's off and the SIM is in. You can either do this by calling with a different phone, or turn your phone off after you hang up and they'll do it.

Yeah, it will tell me how many picture messages I have waiting for me (I have 16) and before I try and fetch them, I do have the green 'M' but it still gives me the fetch error... I called ATT and got Wap Push enabled, and I called today and had them resend the OTA settings, and it still gives me the same error.... I also tried those settings as well because those are the ones that my buddy uses and his works, and it still doesn't work..... Tried a bunch of settings, I am about to give up... Haha

BTW... Happy New Year everyone

Hi, I got all those problems before receiving mms with no pics so I called ATT I told theme I broke my Iphone and told theme I was goin to use my old shine, they ask me for the IME from my shine in order to change the iphone txt plan to mms so they canceled my Iphone plan, I wait 2 days and then I switch the sim card now I'm sending and receiving pics, I don't know for how long but is working, I have no iphone plan rightnow but I'm using wifi for now until make sure all this works and if works I will put back the sim card to my shine to add a MediaNet unlimited for $15.00 and save 15, I did the samething with my att till I canceled my pda plan from 50.00 and I add medianet for 15.00 they told will not worwith my PDA but they were wrong, I used my pda as a modem with my laptop using medianet. lol

hello all,
I must have read over 200 posts on this issue already. i have tried every single combination to retreive and send and still I have no luck. I have a 2G iphone that is on edge. I called at&t and talked to tech supprt and he definitely put mms and wap on. He had to do a work around it was called a pay as you go and the system took it as he did it. When i try to send the message i get that unexpected http response forbidden error and when I receive a message i get the fetch error. PLease I think this software is amazing but I would pay annything to just get this to work. Thank you in advance everyone.

Well I have been messing with this all day and finally got it working. This is what I did, I read about a guy taking his sims out and putting it in to another phone, I thought what the heck I will try it. I removed my sims and stuck it in an old Razer and tried to send a picture mail, well it did not work. I tried another, same thing, failed, I put the phone down and about 15 minutes later it chirped, and it had a MMS message. I picked it up and I was able to receive the pic. I then went to the out box and resent the 2 messages that failed, and they sent. I then took the sims from the razer and put it back into the Iphone and it now works.

I never called AT&T, I have a family plan with unlimited text and MMS. So I think what happened, by putting the sims in a MMS capable phone it got authorized it just took a little time. Before this I was getting the same error message you were all getting. I did not change any setting on the Razer.

These are my settings on the Iphone:

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80

APN: BLANK

Good luck,

That worked first time for me, no need to switch sims. I just signed up for the unlimited family text plan and it worked straight away, no fuss. I did it on the web page, chose the unlimited shared family text plan, it automatically deleted my iphone text plan and was working immediately after accepting the change. Note that my 2nd line on the plan is not an iPhone so I don't know if that makes a difference but the iPhone has been sending/receiving MMS perfectly. Hope this helps...
