Does anyone know if these settings have changed recently or if Rogers has gone the way of AT&T and is blocking MMS functionality from the iPhone? These settings worked perfectly for me on my old 2G 1.1.4 iPhone, but now on my 3G with FW 2.0.2 I keep getting "could not connect to proxy (unable to locate host)" Hopefully someone has received and been able to fix that same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I get the same error on first try then if I try again right away i get

Failed to send MMS
failed to POST: timeout or error
when reading http header

EDIT: Forgot, iPhone 3G, 2.1 with Swirly 1.2 full release, Demo license, which will be a full license as soon as my first MMS in and out works.

EDIT: Never mind I sent one w00t!! I had the http:// in the MMSC, guess it was redundant, I removed it and it worked! Now to test a receive!

no idea I got my demo with the beta, then installed the full release, so it was already there, but I bought a license and it installed first try!

I set it up, and once I got the demo licence and typed it in properly, everything went great....except I think I sent a file that was too large, but everything worked great on this end, Sent and Received went great, good job guys

I don't know about what you guys might be doing. But I noticed that you cannot be connected wifi to send/receive mms. As soon as I turned off my wifi it instantly started working with Edge. So give that a shot as it did work for me :D

mine always works and I have never not been on wifi. The one problem I do notice is that it switches Edge/3G to a 172.x.x.x ip and if your wifi is off and you don't wait long enough you have no internet access (web and email) you have to either wait for it to switch back to the 10.x.x.x network or cycle 3g/edge off and on with the bossprefs, but since i"m pretty much always on wifi anyhow it doesn't affect me much, I just noticed it while playing around with it :D

I'm in BC and I just got the iPhone (3G with 2.1 firmware) and want to send MMS text messages. Can anyone help me?

I went to http://www.activexperts.com/mmstoolkit/mmsclist/ to try and get the information to fill out the form in the app. But don't even know if I filled out everything correctly or if the information is accurate. I also tried phoning Rogers, but he insisted I didn't need the information and the iPhone can't send MMS text messages.

Here's how I filled out the information in the app with the link above:

MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
Proxy: 172.25.000.107

APN: media.com
Username: media
Password: mda01

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks guys.
