Hi,

I have exactly the same setup as the previous lister: 1st GEN iPhone, 2.1 firmware, with the same settings in Swirly. Although I had Swirly working fine before (Firmware 1.1.4), when I upgraded to V2.1, it changed my IMEI number back to the original, and MMS quit working. AS yet, I haven't been able to get it back to 1.1.4 so that I can change the IMEI number, so it quit working. I went through the steps at the beginning of the post (change the SIM card back to another phone, a RAZR), and then tried to send am MMS from that phone, and it didn't work then either. I kept resending the MMS on the other phone until it finally worked (it took an hour or so, but it finally did). I then took out the SIM card from the RAZR, and put it back into my iPhone, and now it works again. I believe that the key is to get it working with your iPhone SIM in a different phone (call AT&T if you have to), and then switch the SIM card back to the iPhone. I'm also fairly certain that you have to drop your "iPhone" account with AT&T, by telling them you are no longer using it, and get them to change your account to a "regular" account (you'll lose the visual voicemail, but that's it).

FYI, if you stick a small pin into the hole at the top of your iPhone, it will eject the SIM card...

well bad news for me. I broke my iPhone 3g that I finally had swirlymms working on for the past week. Got a new one but now I tried the same steps as before and it worked for about an hour but then I got the famous Forbidden 403 error. Will wait the two days like before and hopefully it will start working again. Will let you know what happenned.

well Iam here to confirm that those are the correct settings also (MMSC = mmsc.cingular.com Proxy = 066.209.011.032 User & Pswd Blank). I finally got it to wrk on my iphone 3G/2.1 I have a friend that works in a AT&T retail store. I had him to add the mediaNet to my plan (don't remove anything else). After that I bought a LG Shine from a refurbish store. Took out my SIM card (iphone) put it into the LG Shine. Tried to send a MMS got a forbidden error. Call AT&T told them of the error I received, she confirm to me that the mediaNet plan was on my plan (and that it wasn't suppose to be) but didn't change it. About a day or so it started working. NOw some have reported that after a day or so it would stop, well it's still workin about 2wk later. PS Now I dont know if it makes a difference that I bought the full license!

and then i asked the TECH women to send me an OTA, over the air activation, it basically jumpstarts your services and it worked for me since. i was having troubles with all these different settings then i tryd this and it worked.

I have the iPhone 3g jailbroken 2.1 firmware. Im on a Family Unlimited text plan. and i have a regualr iphone data plan.
