These settings kind-of worked for me. I'd sent myself two messages a few weeks ago (from another phone), and these were waiting to be fetched.

The settings above allowed me to fetch them, but it downloaded a text file with the message "permanent-message-not-found". Obviously the messages had expired.

I tried sending myself a message from SwirlyMMS, and got the following error:
The network reported: service denied (pe)

Also with these settings, I don't seem to be able to receive any more MMS's. They just don't arrive on the phone.

I'm using 0.3.7 of SwirlyMMS, and iPhone firmware 1.1.4.

Ive sent and received a few MMS's now with the above settings and have had no problems. Should point out im on swirly MMS version: 0.3.7 and Iphone: 1.1.3 and on the o2 Network.

I tried to send a few to myself also and it all worked.

I am using firmware 1.1.4 and its giving me the same error message as posted earlier on here. they appear to be the only set off mms settings o2 use so i guess they must have blocked 1.1.4 phones from using the service.

I've just downgraded to 1.1.3 to try this, and I get the same error message...

Same SwirlyMMS version (0.3.7), 1.1.3 iPhone and O2-UK

UPDATE: Interesting. I phoned O2 last week, and they confirmed that I had MMS enabled on my account. I've just spoken to O2 again, and was told that it's not been enabled yet. Maybe that's why we're getting that error?
Think I've got to wait "up to 48 hours" for it to be enabled now...

UPDATE 2: It worked!

I'm with o2 on the 35 quid tariff and the latest version of swirly and can send MMS but all that happens is that I get a text from o2 telling me I have an MMS. How do I "fetch" with this thing? When I load swirly all i see is 3 buttons: New , Info and Settings.

Anyone on a genuine o2 tariff care to help??

Cheers

Thought I would share this with you all!!

After much trawling of various websites and using both my hacked iPhone from the states and my friends from the UK I can confirm that the following settings work on all 0.3 versions of swirlymms and on all versions of iphone software.

MMSC: mmsc.o2.co.uk:8002
Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: bypass
Password: web

I am using the Nokia N95 setting on both phones and am receiving and sending picture messages on both phones. I really should charge everyone for this since it has taken my days to find out the APN username and password!
