o2 (UK) Send and Receive Working!

Hi I wonder if anyone can help - I've just loaded swirlymms on my 1st generation iphone and am trying it out - I've tried the settings as given by squigles :

SWIRLY MMS O2 UK

MMSC: mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password

I have also requested settings from o2 by pretending to have a motorola phone and they are exactly same as given by squigles, however I can't send as I keep getting the message :

" Failed to send MMS. The network reported : unsupported message - the message is placed in the outbox "

I have kept image size to : medium and put useragent ass : iphone

Can anyone please help ? I want to purchase swirly as i think it is great but want to check it works - will purchase it anyway.

Put your sim card into another 02 phone, keep calling customer services and ask them to turn on MMS. They will give you some twaddle that your on the iPhone, inform them you don't take the iPhone out when your on the lash with your mates. That you want to be able to send and receive MMS to the phone. They cave in eventually and turn it on. Once that's done just swap your sim back into your iPhone and the rest is history

MMS IS enabled on SIM - checked in another phone.

Error sending : unsupported message
Tried ALL message sizes settings.

Error recieving : unexpected http response, 'application/vnd.wap...

squigles thanks i sussed it out - it was because mats was renewing the demo license last night hence I didn't have a valid demo license. Once I got the new demo license it worked - tried out by sending to myself and i was able to send and receive. Today tried it out with friends family and was able to send and receive from orange tmobile o2 UK networks - I'm o2 as well on the first generation iphone 2.1 software.

So thank you very much for all your help - appreciate it - to confirm to everyone else that the following settings work as advised by squigles :

Just got an SMS off o2 saying that they cannot process my request for Picture Messaging. Though I can still send and receive. I hope they're not going to block it.

Keep ringing them, it's irrelevant that your on the iPhone tariff Just keep ringing them back ("with your sim card in another phone"). Took me 4 attempts until finally I got a CS rep that could manage to turn it on

well my sim is activated cos if I put it in another phone I can send/receive mms but not on the iphone using swirly and i've tried all settings from the net !

Hummm strange

You should have it on the iPhone then, as it's not device specific
