**HAVING TROUBLE WITH 3G AT&T PLEASE READ**

I got Swirley to work on a 3G AT&T 2.1 Firmware without tampering the iphone IMEI # and i still have visual voicemail.

What you need

1) AT&T RAZR (only cause i know it works b/c thats what I used)
2) Must be registered to ATT.COM, where you can view your account pay bills etc for your wireless account!!

My Steps

1) Take sim out of your iphone and place it into the razr. Make a quick phone call and wait 15 minutes
2) Go to webpage http://mymedianet.wireless.att.com/ put your number in and you will get a text and it will get you into media net.
3) Once in medianet look for the option to Register for an account when you complete registration you will get emails thank you for registering with medianet.
4) Go back to http://mymedianet.wireless.att.com/ and click the picture of the cellphone so it saves settings
5) Log into your att account and click features. Currently you should be checked for iphone text plan but know you have an option for AT&T messaging. I had IPHONE UNLIMITED TEXT 20$ I changed it to Messaging Unlimited 20$ (its in orange AT&T reccomnds) once you clicked it make sure you save settings it will tell you it has been updated immediatley.
6) Called att have them check snooper for MMS and WAP push and also have them check a feature called "premium messaging" its there if they dont see it get another rep.
7) Once they do that get off the phone aznd put your sim finally back into the iphone.
8) open Swirly the onlt settings i used are MMSC is mmsc.cingular.com Proxy 066.209.011.032 Pic MAX Agent Iphone save wait for the green M and then close Swirly
9) call at&t have them look into snooper for mms and wap push but now ask them to send "over the air sim update"
10) once they say it has been sent turn off you phone hang up with att and wait a 1 minute.
11)Open swirly wait for the green m now hold the home key until swirly closes and dont let go of the home key and press the power key too. Once the phone shuts off turn the phone back on
12) open swirly wait for the green m try sending one, mine crashed on the first but worked on the second attempt

Its a 12 step process hope you have success like I did!!!

This actually works I tried a blackberry make a call waited try to input # on Medianet not good try Medianet on blackberry it self probably this activated the wap thingy success, added unlimited messaging recieved a txt about changes have made, open switlymms try to send mms success, send me a mms from wife Dash (T-Mobile) recived success..
No family plan, no Medianet package. Hope this help someone out there..

How do the rest of your service work on your iphone after doing this. I have heard of people trying this and not being able to access the internet on their iphone. The visual voicemail I can do without. I would like to try this tonight.

The beauty about getting swirly to work with the way I wrote up this tutorial is you are not touching your iphone data plan or the visual voicemail. You are only changing the text messaging plan which is separate from data and visual voicemail. You cant change you text messaging plan while the sim is in the iphone because your only options are iphone text plan!!

Is it necessary to call AT&T to complete this set-up? I have seen similar instructions to this online, and some have said that simply selecting the proper medianet unlimited messaging plan with a non-iPhone phone worked fine. I bought a RAZR off of eBay last night in hopes that I can get your instructions to work for me. Thanks for sharing your settings and comments.

Three people emailed me and all three said the same thing when followed step by step it worked for them. Maybe i have an extra step thats not necessary i dont really know. You have nothing to lose by doing it your way first but just as a side note everytime you change something in your accunt wap push by default gets unchecked and you will never know if your sim is updated unless you ask for the over the air sim update!! So it just might be necessary to speak with att to get it functional!

Okay I have called up had my plan changed to my 8925 tilt usin my ime number and changed to unlim,ited internet usage plan from iphone plan and then added mms and texting plan So do I just need to have them do an over the air push for the wap and apn already have MMSC and PRXY set to you settings

I dont really know what exactly you need to do, following the steps one right after the other and you should have success. I never changed my iphone data plan or the imei number so i dont know what exacly will happen when you place your sim back on to the iphone. When all is done an swirly has been reset is when you need to call att back check for mms settings and wap push and then i asked them for the over the air sim update!!
