Here goes the different settings for MMSC, Proxy and APN that have been proven usable.

ok guys, check my post for AT&T settings. First of all, the op's ability to send and receive is a fluke at best(no offense). To have continued functionality in swirly, your APN field must read as follows(omitting the quotation marks):

APN: "wap.cingular"
User Name: "" (blank)
Password: "" (blank)

This really sucks. It sounds like it may be a lost cause for getting this to work with AT&T unless you change your IMEI number which I don't want to go through the hassle. Does anybody else have more information? I am actually thinking about switching my service from AT&T to TMobile because of this, since it seems to be working on other carriers

Ok, I have a jailbroken (duh!) iPhone 3G and I did got this program to work. Here's what I did.

First, I went to http://mymedianet.wireless.att.com/ and after I entered my number, it told me that I couldn't use media net yadda yadda. Ok, so I took my SIM out of my iPhone and put it in my Tilt phone (any phone that supports MediaNet and MMS should work) and sent/recive a MMS to a friend just to confirm that I could from the Tilt. Success. I went back to http://mymedianet.wireless.att.com/ and then it let me get in. Another success. Put the SIM back in the iPhone and used the setting of the OP. Success again! I could send and receive MMS using the iPhone.

The program works, is just that MediaNet is not enabled in the iPhone plans by default. Using a phone that supports it should activate the feature.

Larsek,

Does the MMS on your iPhone reset to receive no MMS after a period of time with the sim card replaced in the iPhone?

Just got it working a little over 2 hours ago, so I can really say yes or no to that. But if that happens, I can just put the SIM back on the Tilt for a minute.

iPhone $30 Data Plan and unlimited Family messaging (which includes MMS). I've been using MMS on my Tilt under the iPhone data plan for over a year now. No extra charges.

I disagree with you, I also have left all of these fields blank, they aren't required. I was able to successfully get everything to work on 3 iPhones now by contacting AT&T and asking them to add the MediaNET Per Use feature to my iphone plan... Nothing changed plan wise except now I am able to both send and receive without issue.

Please check my post here specifically Comment 4
