AT&T; Swirly Works!!!

Postby noitavo on 14 Jul 2008, 09:26

This post is for those fortunate AT&T customers who have been able to get Swirly working in the past, but have been recently disabled.

....after fighting with AT&T to keep my iphone settings but treating my text and multimedia plan like traditional plans, Swirly was finally working with the following settings:

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: 066.209.011.032

I called in to unblock the internet on my other line (HTC S620/ unlocked T-Mobile Dash) in order to get MMS working. For whatever reason, Swirly stopped working.

I reinstalled, checked settings, rebooted, etc..... After many calls to AT&T, the settings were finally confirmed by someone in their tech support. (If they tell you it can't work - and they will - try using logic. ie. "If I were on a family plan, how would the system determine not to allow me to use the traditional texting just because I have an Iphone." Use anything that will sway the rep. (sorry about the rant)

At any rate, the following settings worked for me.

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: 066.209.011.032

APN: wap.cingular
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1

Image size: Medium

I also spoofed an IMEI number from my HTC 8525 that I'm not using right now. I don't think this has anything to do with my situation, but I don't want to test using my original IMEI number; if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Hopefully this will help someone out. Good Luck!!!

Thank you Swirly team for an incredible App.
