I can't see them blocking it.. AT&T doesn't restrict your ability to swap your SIM into another phone, any other phone would require MediaNET for internet/messaging, so hopefully it sticks around a while

ya but they can block media net since this isn't a media net phone.......i hope your right.........and I hope my bill isn't messed up. We need somebody to do this like 1 day before the billing cycle ends and see if they get charged. My billing cycle just started.

OK, I've now spoken to 3 different AT&T folks in the past two hours. All have said that what you've done is impossible. ;)

The last rep was extremely nice and tried a dozen different ways to add the per use package and the computer system kept alerting her that this is a conflicting media net package, and that you can't add more than one medianet package to an account.

So... deadend here. I might try going to the local store tomorrow.

what did the store rep say? Was it an agent store or corp? You need to call an agent store. Try another store. All I can say is keep trying, you'll get someone eventually that wants to do their job.

I am on family plan with family messaging. No I doubt that would be the issue. It's not a family soc code to add. I'm the only one on my plan that has internet, pay per use anything.

I can help for about 15 more minutes then im off for the weekend!!! woohoo!!!! I will check periodically tonight though.

Anyone from Missouri?

SUCCESS!!!! (Thanks Nic)

How I worked around AT&T:

I was told that both plans (iphone data and Medianet pay per use) were not available together, just like everyone else. So I had at&t remove my iphone data plan and add medianet pay per use. What do you know, swirly worked!! However, this was at the expense of visual voicemail. I fixed this too:

Next I went to att.com and readded my iphone data package to my account. This, however, did not fix visual voicemail. I called at&t again, they reset visual voicemail.... and now I have both!! Visualvoicemail and swirly!!

Note: After adding my iphone data package thru att.com I rec'd an email stating that media net would be removed from my account immediately. However, swirly has still continued to work.

Im using the OP settings for MMSC and Proxy with a blank apn/username/password. I am NOT on a family plan. =)

AHH!! Just lost swirly. Apparently you NEED to have the iphone data plan, i just got lucky enuff to have a rep stupid enuff to remove it for me. Anyway, MMS stopped working about an hour ago. I can't get anyone at AT&T to give me the medianet pay per feature anymore either. I'm done trying for tonite. I have all day tomorrow to harass those bastards.
