Note: you need to ensure your sim/contract has been enabled to send/receive MMS. Call Virgin on 789 to check/enable it.

MMSC: mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002
Proxy: 193.030.166.002:8080
APN: goto.virginmobile.uk

I have MMS set up with Virgin UK and used it regularly for last couple of years no problem on my Nokia N95.

Using an unlocked 1.1.4 jailbroken Iphone wih my Virgin pay-as-you-go simcard and with EDGE enabled I am unable to send messages with Swirly - I get one of these two errors :

Possible incorect mmsc setting.
Unexpected http response
(HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden

or

Could not connect to proxy (connect failed)

Strangely - without changing or altering any settings - I was able momentarily to send and receive just one MMS last night - without changing or altering settings. Then I continued to get the above errors again.

I was also not able to receive a Swirly demo license until it downloaded one automatically 2 days after I installed Swirly.

Some erratic behaviour going on here...any ideas?

Just to confirm these settings do work. I've just upgraded to the 2.1 version. At first I kept getting http gateway timeouts. I then went back to the Virgin website & had it send me a settings SMS to double check. When the SMS arrived - I had the Swirly MMS app process the SMS to auto setup.

After this I've been able to send/received pictures etc. with no problem. Whether doing this was a coincedence - I don't know, but worth a try if you get stuck.
