AT&T users... this works!

Here goes the different settings for MMSC, Proxy and APN that have been proven usable.

AT&T users... this works!

Postby lg2312 on 11 Feb 2009, 17:21

 I posted this on another thread, but thinking it might be hard to find, I am reposting on a new thread:
The first thing I did was put my sim in my old phone. It would not send a MMS. So, went to the AT&T website and looked at my services. I had "text messaging for iphone". I changed it to unlimited messaging. ($5/month more)
Tried mms in my old phone again- it worked. So, put sim back in iPhone. Sent one, then had trouble getting green "M". I rebooted and so far, so good- have sent and recieved 4 or 5 pics.
Normal text goes to old inbox though. Also, I am sure hoping that AT&T doesn't charge me for 'iPhone messages' at some crazy rate.
The website still showed my old Samsung as the phone I have, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I rather doubt it.
Still working with no glitch... let me know if this works for you!
Setting are nothing that have not been suggested here hundreds of times, but what I have is:
MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: 066.209.011.032
APN: blank
username: blank
Password: blank
Image size: Maximum
User Agent: Nokia_N95

Just a thought- I would try to reinstall swirly and see if that does it. My regular text still goes to my inbox, but anything with a picture goes to swirly.
AT&T's view my message site has never worked for me. Please don't refer to it as a "gay site". It is a badly designed and poorly thought out site, granted, but that term is not really fitting and can be offensive to those who might otherwise help you.
Good luck.

This is what I did, i'm Located in Washington DC
For ATT users , In order to get swirlymms to work on your iphone, call in Customer Service, have them take you off the iphone data plan, but make sure your put on a unlimited data plan not for iphone tho. I choose to have media net unlimited for 15 bucks a month. I'm already in a family plan with unlimited text an mms messages, so I suggest you be put on a unlimited text for 20 bucks. Regarding iphone data plan to be honest i dont know nothing bout, can some tell me the differences between the iphone data plan an media net data packages??

jailbroken 2.2.1
swirlymms settings
mmsc.cingular.com
proxy 066.209.011.032
apn
username
password

user agent iphone
