I had swirly working on 1.1.4 until I had a crash using ziphone to spoof the imei # to a moto v3 razr. I upgraded to 2.2 and could not spoof because ziphone is no longer supported.

I am currently running firmware 2.2 with a spoofed Imei number for a Motorola Razr. This was a long process since Ziphone will not spoof it for you on 2.2. I had to restore my phone to 1.1.4. This was complicated because it takes two computers to have two different versions of Itunes. I used ziphone (ziphone.org)to unlock, activate.... then used the fake Imei feature. The instructions say to Activate only. I found that I had to use the Do it all button on Ziphone to make it work or you will not have service. This is done on a computer running itunes 7.5

Go to the second computer with a current itunes installed. Then you can use the custom FW 2.2 to upgrade and it does not include the baseband so your unlock stays with the spoofed imei. It has Cydia an installer included.


I am going to post a link to the thread that gives the instructions. One thing that it doesn't mention is that you could have trouble downgrading to 1.1.4 and may have to erase the baseband with iliberty because I kept getting errors while downgrading.

Download the needed 2.2 custom firmware at:

download all three files to the same directory and unzip the first file. It will unzip and combine the three files to make the one 2.2 restore file.

Mine worked first time I tried to send the MMS this time. When I first spoofed with v1.1.4 I had to call AT&T and told them I was not getting my MMS messages. They did something to refresh my account and then it started working. I do not have an Iphone package. I do have unlimited Medianet.

You need two version of pwnage custom firmware (2.1) which one should have capable of bootneuter and ofcourse able to unlock baseband as well. The other is clear firmware which has no neuter and also no update baseband checked.

- First item you should do is restore you iphone with 2.1 custom firmware and neutered and unlocked and also it should be in 3.9BL!!!! it is very importand

- When you finish, you should find an another computer with 7.6.2 itunes version and ziphone 3.0 and originial 1.1.4 firmware

- Then switch your iphone to DFU mode by using 7.6.2 itunes version computer

- Then restore you phone to 1.1.4 original FW

- Then you have one error after finishing restore, ignore it and restart computer and iphone (by pressing home and power button) then connect them again. Then use ziphone 3.0 to ONLY activate it!!!

- then use ziphone3.0 to change imei

- after finished, it is good to restore original 1.1.4 FW again.

- when you check activation screen you will see that imei is faked one.

- then back to new computer with 8.0 itunes.

- put to iphone first recovery mode to restore your custom 2.1 firmware which has no neuter, no baseband update, no uprage BL.. if recover mode does not work switch it to DFU mode. then try again.


Ok guys.. I'll upload if there is no restriction putting custom firmware links in the forum.
By the way I like to detailed software versions on PC's that should be the same with yours;

1. I will upload 2.1 firmware which was made by pwnage tool on my Hackint0sh MACOS that has no neuter, no baseband update and no upgrade Bootloader. Only has installer that need to be later which has already no negative affect to the core 2.1 firmware files I like to remind.

2. The second 2.1 firmware should have bootneuter2.1 that will flash your chip neuter in 3.9Bootloader and unlock your 2.1 baseband. So you need itunes8 in windows environment.

3. Original 1.1.4 firmware in windows environment with itunes 7.6.2. and also ziphone 3.0 you know.

Dont forget the trick is when u finish changing the imei in 1.1.4FW, the bootloader and baseband should be untouchable if you change it original imei return back.

Both of configurations should in different PCs otherwise it doesnt work.. not possible to use mixed configuration.

By the way a little bit trick is when you downgrade your 1.1.4, after error message you will face some issues is hard to start iphone if that case you can use latest Quickpwn to reset phone by pressing 15 seconds power and home button, then only power button for 2 seconds then release, in itunes8 PC. İt will restart it and iphone easily open 1.1.4 then u can use ziphone safely.

And one more experience I have is my iphone is extremely faster, responsive and better running after that operations before I have 4.6BL 2.1 with pwnage (MAC). I dont understand why but it is really better.
