WORKING set of MMSC settings for T-Mobile USA

** SPOILER FIRST: I was previously a Suncom customer and was migrated to T-Mobile. This may not work for you if you weren't previously a Suncom customer, OR if you can't talk their Tech Support into adding these settings to your account but it should be possible. Read on. **
History:
I had previously tried the settings posted everywhere on the web:
MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.050:[various ports]
APN: wap.voicestream.com
I also tried APN "internet2.voicestream.com" with no success.
I called T-Mobile's support line. I informed them I had an iPhone and to my surprise, they said no problem. They forwarded me to a tech support line for non T-Mobile phones and I spoke to a rep named Ray.
At first he walked me through the settings above, we tested those with no success. Then I told him about being a previous Suncom customer and that my APN previously was just "mobileinternet". He said "Ok, then let's see if that works."
So he went into my account and added "mobileinternet" as a valid APN. I have no idea if this is possible if you weren't a previous Suncom customer but I don't see why not. It appeared to me that they can add or delete any APN from your account.
I also asked if these settings were going to be phased out because I was worried it might work today and then stop tomorrow, but he said "probably not for years. I would expect you to have another phone before these stop working."
SO...
First, he confirmed I had the correct data plan or MMS activities on my account for MMS. CONFIRMED
Second, he had to add/re-add "mobileinternet" as a valid APN on my account. CONFIRMED
Then , I changed my main APN for the phone to "mobileinternet" and tested I still had data connectivity. CONFIRMED
Then I went into SwirlyMMS and changed my APN to match. He then gave me the MMSC and Proxy settings for that APN. CONFIRMED
Finally, I tried sending a test MMS message to myself. CONFIRMED
If you can call Tech Support and ask them to add the "mobileinternet" APN to your account, these settings should work for you. Enjoy.
