s,
I've been trying to get this to work for a month. I've forwarded my log file to Mat and he says they are trying to figure out why it isn't working.

I wanted to ask what APN you are using?

I was previously a Suncom customer and then T-mobile bought them. When they switched me over, they had me change my APN to:

epc.tmobile.com

But the only APN I've seen anyone post for T-mobile has been the wap.voicestream.com APN. Have you ever gotten it to work with either of these?

Thanx.

on 2.1 my settings worked. i was using wap.voicestream.com successfully.

now it takes about 20 seconds for the M to turn green and i can only receive pictures and not send them.

for now the only way i can send pictures is using email and sending it to (example) [email protected]

try the following:

mmsc - http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
proxy - 216.155.165.50:8080
apn - wap.voicestream.com

image size - maximum
useragent - SE_W800i

those setting worked for me perfectly on my 1gen iphone on Tmobile USA.

I am having the same issue after upgrading to Firmware 2.2. Using Swirly MMS 1.2.10

I have tried all the settings in multiple combinations. APN is epc.tmobile.com, wap.voicestream.com no longer works for me. Even when using as EDGE APN it not longer lets me surf the internet, just takes me to an error page. epc.tmobile.com will however still let me surf the net.

I have tried the MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy : 216.155.165.50:8080 (left blank)
APN: wap.voicestream.com (epc.tmobile.com, left blank)

*in parenthesis are the combinations i have tried.

I do however get the green M in the corner and this is the error I receive after a minute or so.

The error I receive is: Failed to send MMS Possible incorrect mmsc setting. Unexpected http response. (HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable)

What's your user agent set at? Also have you tried getting the auto settings for mms?

For agent I've tried both the Motorla and SE with Medium and High image size.
I tried the automatic settings but after going through the steps I receive nothing.

Rainman, what settings are working for you?

Also, could this have anythign to do with some people experiencing EDGE outages?

The settings i've used from day one that has always worked for me is:
mmsc: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
proxy:216.155.165.050:8080
apn:wap.voicestream.com
user: blank
password:blank

It may be due to the edge outages in some areas. Try putting a 0 infront of the 50 in the proxy settings.
