I can certainly understand your frustration, however you were all told in a post here that Swirly was not compatable with Fw 2.0 and not to upgrade if you need MMS capability.. and that it was being worked on.

If you upgraded, you knew you weren't going to have MMS ..

It's COMING .. I assure you .. I already mentioned I'm testing it out and I can say right now it's pretty solid, the hold up at this point is primarily to make sure it's working well on 2.1 ... they want to release a quality product, if they don't .. if they rush it out the door to you, they'll be swamped with support issues

At the same time... if this is the complete truth, if apple keeps releasing updates swirly will never be released right? I mean, since the developers have to make sure it works bug free and all.

But honestly it already sounds like the product is pretty solid. Why not at least release it for public beta. You can always release random updates for bug fixes in the future. Every update does not have to be a major release that takes months of coding and testing.

No, That's not exactly the case .. when apple updates the firmware, it could cause no problems with third party apps, or it could cause lots of problems for third party apps .. it all depends on what got updated.. for the most part, swirlymms has been lucky that the 1.x line of FW didn't present major problems .. but now Apple has a developer API and things are still evolving.. now that Apple has it's own app store, they are also probably more keen to keep third party developers at bay as well ..

Anyway - it'll be soon ..

I know you guys have a lot to do.. I just have one question.
Have you tried to run Swirly MMS on an iPhone 2.1 jet and did it work? :geek:

I am new to Swirly and cannot wait for the release. I have been following the forums since my first purchase of the Iphone 3g. I would just like to say to the developers, take your time and don't rush it. Also thanks for taking your time to develop one of the most requested feature for the Iphone! Thanks

I think people have their rights to ask for something especially when they paid some donation, but i can fully understand developers (Mats and Tommy) need more time to ensure what they provided outside is a stable sofeware, if they do not do so, i think in a short time, supports from some guys will translate into compliants.

Now my major concern is that whether the said apps will be out as what develpoer said days ago" at the beginning of coming week", if now the publish date was postponed to the end of this week, we' d like to be noticed here, we do not hope to geuss guess and guess always, this is what we call "responsible".
