Hmm weird. I get a different error I never got before with these lol. I get either 403 or proxy timeout with any other settings, now I get failed to POST: timeout or error when reading http header

**EDIT** Once I changed "http://mmsc.cingular.com" to "mmsc.cingular.com" I got my normal 403.

I tried calling AT&T today... I have two beefs. I don't get the "ViewMyMessage" text when I get MMS messages like everyone else even with plain locked iPhones get. WTF? So I figure I'd go in a two prong approach, get this sorted out first then I can work on adding the MMS package and getting swirlymms to work.

I have the answer! THE SETTINGS ARE CORRECT.

The problem, like it's been said many time here before is AT&T. I used these settings with my iphone sim and i get an error.
I pop my wifes AT&T sim in and it works fine.

Call AT&T and say what ever it takes for them to enable it, I plan to do this tomorrow and will update when I can.

Ok. This one was my bad...these settings will work assuming you have MMS capabilities on your SIM and AT&T has your line set up to "look like you can use MMS"(as I read in one post, make sure to have AT&T check your "Device Profile". Good luck and let me know about any success/failure.

When you guys call AT&T and ask them to put mms on your sim, let me know what happens and what you had to tell them. I've heard from another thread on here something about losing the visual voicemail feature, does anyone know about this? I just want to get all the information and the side effects of everything before I go ahead and do all this to get Swirly MMS to work on my phone.

Thanks!

If i call up and get my sim changed to a different phone with mms and keep it in my iphone...can I still keep the iphone data plan or do I need to switch it to the MEdia Net plan...If I have to change it to the MEdia Net plan does it still work as a full html browser on the iphone or the stripped down internet for other mobile phones?

These settings still do NOT work on iPhone 3G. These have been posted before. If you have At&T and you are allowed access to ther MMS server these settings work GREAT! Prop is YOU CANT GET ACCESS TO IT unless you say you have given up your iphone and they transfer your # to another type of phone. I went back and forth with At&t all morning -- they just wont budge on iPhone.
